Entry/visa requirements
All participants need to verify visa requirements with the Embassy or Consulate of El Salvador in their respective country. To obtain accurate information on regulations and deadlines for submitting visa applications, participants are advised to begin the process as early as possible.

Hotel accommodation and reservation
The General Directorate Observatory of Hazards and Natural Resources of El Salvador has reserved a block of rooms at the Sheraton Presidente San Salvador Hotel, with a special rate starting at USD 139.24 (all taxes included), for single occupancy rooms and including buffet breakfast and Wi-Fi internet. The distance between Sheraton Hotel and the Salamanca Eventos El Salvador is approximately 10 km, about 25 minutes by car. There will be a shuttle service available from the hotel to the meeting venue. The shuttle will depart the hotel at 7:30 AM and return at the end of each day.

Transportation from and to the airport
The hotel offers a transportation service from and to the airport, to be booked directly with them at a cost of USD 33 per trip (maximum 2 people) or a minivan service for USD 66 per trip (maximum 8 people). In addition to the official taxis that can be hired at the airport exit (arrivals area, they only accept cash), transportation services such as Uber also operate in El Salvador, offering competitive rates and accepts payments in both cash and credit card. Depending on the time, the prices of these services can range between USD 25 and USD 40.
Currency
The United States dollar (USD) is the currency in use in El Salvador. ATMs are plentiful throughout the country as are banks, which are open Monday through Saturday. Most hotels will exchange foreign currency or traveller's checks. Major credit cards are widely accepted at the main hotels and restaurants, and may be used to draw cash from ATM

The electric supply is 110 V/60 Hz AC with power plug/outlet types A and B. If necessary, participants must bring their own converters.
