(2) Education and Training, taking into the increasing demand for training, emanating from new WMO initiatives such as the UN Early Warnings for All Initiative (EW4ALL) and other strategic initiatives, availability of new data from METEOSAT Third Generation, the new Global Data-processing and Forecasting System (GDPFS) and leadership and management training to enhance effective management of the National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHSs). It will also discuss how the new concept of Consortium of WMO Education and Training Collaborating Partners (CONECT) could further contribute to enhancing education and training activities
